The Pulst is running a pretty decent interview with Zander Cannon. If you're not familiar with his work, he did the fairly-excellent REPLACEMENT GOD series, as well as layouts for Alan Moore's TOP TEN. It shows a bunch of his recent/upcoming work, but the cool thing is finding out he's got a blog of his own. I'm going to go read that now, but in case you want to visit it for yourself, it's at http://www.zandercannon.com/.
So this image is meant to link from Rich Johnston's LYING IN THE GUTTERS column at comicbookresources. It doesn't. Anyway, in case you're wondering who nabbed the Voltron license, it's worth noting that it's pretty obvious that Udon Studios did this piece. They're currently working with DC on ROBOTECH as well, so if you're hedging bets, that's where I'd put my money.
I moved the monthly(ish) PREVIEWS REVIEW column to it's own site. The url, cleverly enough, is www.previewsreview.com. James Lucas Jones and I do it. There'll be links all over the place once I get all of these pages updated, but I thought you should know.
It's 6am and I'm still up, and I don't even WANT to go to bed. To top that off, today I ate 2 eggos with syrup and a can of raviloli and that's it. And now I can't sleep, and I might be hungry but I don't want to eat anything before I go to bed.
But anyway. On the comics front, I wrote a new piece of Journlaism this week... Heh... It's my convention report on SPX, the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD. It's up at PopImage, and the link to go directly there is www.popimage.com/spx. I'm actually sort of happy with it, and a few people told me it read well. That's nice. It's good to know that I'm not just talking a lot of shit up here, that I can actually write and have people respond. Speaking of which, feel free to respond -- my e-mail is at the bottom of that page.
I don't even know if I'm tired or not, and a Mosquito bit me so now I'm convinced I've got the fucking West Nile Virus...
