I'm going to be the voice of dissent here and say that I was a little underwhelmed by GARAGE BAND. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I look at his two books so far in the Ignatz line and those just seemed more alive, more interesting to me. I think the larger page count of GARAGE BAND actually worked against it because he was given so much more room that he took a little too much.

Loved the last third of the book, though.

Here's what I hope is sent to me by my retailer from this week's offerings:
FEB070241 52 WEEK #49 2.50
I initially ordered this series because of Grant Morrison's involvement.Forty-nine weeks (actually, forty-two weeks. That is the latest issue I received)later it's still my only reason. I can't tell what he's contributed to the series.

OCT060165 ALL STAR SUPERMAN #7 2.99
Now this is Grant Morrisony ggodness!

FEB072118 BLADE #8 2.99
I originally bought this book for Howard Chaykin's art, but have been surprised by the well-constructed done-in-one tales it's offered so far.

FEB073454 COMPLETE PEANUTS VOL 7 1963-1964 HC (C: 1-0-0) 28.95
I buy this in single volumes, but then I didn't realize the two-packs would save me $6. I never look at the price when I'm assembling my order. It certainly wouldn't bother me to buy 40-odd year old strips 6 months later to save money.

NOV063553 HARRY THE RAT WITH WOMEN NOVEL 12.95
I have some of Feiffer's childrens' novels and look forward to reading his more adult oriented prose.

FEB071878 MADMAN ATOMIC COMICS #1 2.99
The reviews have not been kind for this issue so far but I can understand Allred wanting to bring readers up to speed with a recap in his first new issue in years. Mind you, once I read it I may find it's a real snooze-fest.

FEB070300 TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #7 (OF 8) 3.99
Been buying this for the Dr. Thirteen back-up series. It's been a fun journey through DC's supernatural characters and the art is wonderful.
