[...] Chris: I’m really grateful that Fanfare/Ponent Mon is publishing books like these on these shores, considering how little they probably make off of these books. Their latest is a Jiro Taniguchi (The Walking Man) book of short stories about men “confronted by savage nature” according to the Chris Butcher. If that’s not enough Taniguchi for you, there’s also the second volume of Botchan, a literary look at Japan Meiji era, when it was attempting to become more Westernized.
Gah, a new Jiro Taniguchi book from Fanfare/Ponent-Mon is great news, but who knows when I'll actually be able to find it. It's not listed on B&N.com or Amazon, and even Amazon.co.uk only says "We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock" (although Amazon.ca is more optimistic, saying "we will ship it to you when it arrives").

As for ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN THE BOY WONDER, I've only read the snippets I've seen online but I just didn't find Miller's over-the-top approach amusing. I got bored with his "ha ha ha, my gonzo writing style is so funny!" style back when he was doing Martha Washington.
