I had heard they made Shinji less whiny than the TV show but I didn't find that to be the case at all. Tokyo-3 looked amazing and I loved hearing the status reports on the Evas in English. I am not the kind of guy that HATES ALL DUBS but some of the voices were a bit grating. Can't wait for 2.0! I really liked it a lot, too. Graphics of the movie were great and the handling of the material very faithful to the original while stilling feeling pretty fresh. The atmosphere of the movie-goers was fantastic too, almost entirely sold out and everyone was very enthusiastic (and behaved on top of that).
