Hey everyone! There’s a great-looking, first year academic event coming up next year. Unfortunately it’s the same weekend as TCAF so I won’t be able to participate, but if you’re an academic or writer on comics, they’re looking for proposals for paper presentations and more. The deadline is today, but I have a feeling that if you got it in by the end of the week, you’d be fine. – Christopher<\/em><\/p>\n

Queers & Comics brings American & international LGBTQ cartoonists, comics writers, and artists together with scholars and fans in order to discuss their craft and to document the history and significance of queer comics. The conference will offer two days of panels, workshops, portfolio reviews, slideshow presentations, roundtable discussions, and an exhibition of queer cartoon art.<\/p>\n
