  1. These ads spiked Orson Welles popularity in Japan for several years and they continued to use representations of him in print ads well after they stopped airing the commercials.
    A few years later, after adding other American celebrities to their stable of spokespeople (like Jerry Lewis), they would use print ads depicting Orson on a “Mount Rushmore” of past spokespersons.
